HANDLING CHARGES
As soon as a request for booking of a peak is received by the IMF from an expedition, the IMF will earmark the peak/peaks provisionally, subject to the availability, and inform the leader of the expedition and forward necessary documents and forms for required action by the leader of the expedition team. Thereafter, the leader should send the handling charges together with the application form, at the following rates :-
PAYMENT PROCEDURE
(a) All payments are to be made in US $ either by Demand Draft or through Credit Cards or through Bank Transfers. Payments through cheques or cash are NOT accepted.
(b) In case the payment is made through a Bank Draft, the Bank Draft should be payable to Indian Mountaineering Foundation, New Delhi drawn on any bank having branch in New Delhi (India).
(c) In case the payment is remitted through Bank Transfers, it should be done to IMF's Account No. 23153564 favouring Standard Chartered Grindlays Bank, Malcha Marg, New Delhi (India) and copy of the Bank Transfer instructions sent to IMF clearly indicating name of peak/expedition, leader and his country. In case the payment is remitted through master/visa card, please send imprint of the card along with following certificate to the IMF: (I/We authorise IMF to bill the peak handling charges to my/our VISA/MASTER CARD no................).
(d) Bank Drafts/Bank Transfer/Credit Card instructions will be needed as follows : Bank Draft/Bank Transfers in US$ to include handling charges for the peak concerned, environmental levy of US$ 400 and US$ 500 for LO's equipment (if the equipment is to be supplied by IMF).
In addition to handling charges payable to IMF, additional fee as prescribed from time to time may have to be paid to the Himalayan states concerned. Details will be provided by the IMF, where applicable, while booking the peak(s).
If the handling charges are not received within three month, from the date of issue of IMF's intimation, provisional booking will be cancelled and the peak(s) offered to next party on the waiting list
